| One of the great
benefits of working with SSD on your new site is that we
do this everyday, so we understand how to help you through
the process quickly and painlessly. Here's an idea of how
our process works. Most companies take 1-2 months to complete
this process. The hold up is almost always the collection
of content (text and images.) We've created a checklist to
help you to organize and delegate that work.
1. Review our web information here on the web and set
an appointment for your web consultation.
2. Phone consultation with our web specialists to explore
what your new site might be like: To support your current
sales process and to position you for sales growth in the
days to come.

3. We discuss a rough estimate of time to complete your
new site as specified on the call. There can be considerable
variation in how many hours it takes to build a site, depending
upon how efficiently you can supply us with clear feedback,
usable text and images, etc. Most complete sites take 24
man-hours to complete. Some have taken only 14 hours, others
over 30.

4. Pay the $1,000 retainer
invoice from SSD to secure your place in our production queue.
More about our terms here.
5. Print the checklist so you can delegate the tasks of
collecting information for your new site.
6. SSD creates a draft look for your home page
based on your preferences as discussed in step 2.
7. We schedule a "look review" call
to get your feedback on look improvements (repeat as necessary,
usually 2-3 times.)
8. You submit your content, images, text, links, etc. your
staff collected using the checklist.
9. Your approval of the look allows our designers to build
your site.
10. Your approval of the site allows us to set a time line
for posting your site, making necessary changes to your e-commerce
site, etc. to minimize impact on your active users (this
usually happens in a 2-3 hour time frame.)
11. We post the site and make it available to web users.
Get noticed and keep it fresh
12. We make fixes, corrections,
changes. The beauty of the web is that future changes are
really fast and easy. So, just let us know if there's anything
you'd like to change or update. We bill in 15 minute blocks,
so even tiny changes are easy and affordable.
